Viewers quickly took to social media platform X to express their disappointment, with one fan asking, “Why is he wearing sunglasses? I know he’s cool, but please!” Another added, “I love Pharrell, but take your sunglasses off.”
Despite the backlash, Williams, 51, shared insights into his upcoming biopic, Piece By Piece, which creatively tells his story through Lego animations. The musician also opened up about his synesthesia, a condition that allows him to experience music as colors. He explained that as a child, he would often stare at the speaker, entranced by the colors he saw in melodies.
Pharrell was joined on the show by actors Billy Crystal, Emily Mortimer, and Hugh Bonneville, who were promoting their own projects.
